So what is the deal with these chairs? Are they especially comfortable and is there anything about them to properly support your back at all? Or is this just another badge of how elite you are if you happen to sit in/on one ? Are they dimensionally suitable for dining, say at the folding dinettes in our trailers?
I do know I saw a unopened box of two of them in a new Airstream on a sales lot and I was struck by how small the box was.
What I don't know is whether the chairs were fully assembled in the box. If in fact they were then they are very space friendly when folded.
if you got a airstream you got two zipdee chairs. and $59 is cheap price was way over $100. my MH has a compartment thst two chairs just fit. and i payed $59 for mine. they are good chairs i bought some chairs from cw and my large son sit in them and thev collapsed not the zipdees. he parks in them and they cry but dont give up. he is a offensive lineman for a !A college.

Zipdee has a website and you can view all the material choices available plus screenrooms etc. It is zipdeeinc.com
We have the chairs and extenders and of course in MN the screenroom it makes life very liveable in our insect ridden summers here. What makes zipdee special is the quality and care they put into their products. The hubby has been to the factory in Illnois while on business to pick up parts/extra material and they were very gracious giving him the factory tour on short notice.
Mareinmn- what are the extenders you refer to? Thanks

They are not all that comfortable to sit in but they fit nicely inside the trailer. Mine go in a compartment under the front table.

They are real QUALITY just like the awnings. All steel, light weight, strong awning fabric, and they fold incredibly thin. I love Zip-Dee!

Come rally with us.
Personally, my wife and I prefer our $20 folding chairs to the Zip Dee's. Granted, the Zip Dee's are more compact, but I don't believe they are as functional (our $20 chairs come with built-in drink holders, for example) or as comfortable. We used our Zip Dee's for a couple minutes this past summer, then put them back in their storage compartment. We'll probably keep them handy for those occassions when we need extra chairs for guests.
Just wondering. Do any of you enjoy the reclining LaFuma style chair? We gifted ourselves with two of them when we bought our Airstream (sans zip dees) knowing that we wanted to spend more travel/camping time and need comfy chairs for old backs. They are traveling LazyBoys, so to speak. We love ours, and laugh about all that we have "sold" just letting passers-by sit and enjoy a minute. Ahhhhhh! Many models are out now, less pricey, but still good. Check out Camping World. We bought ours at a Cabelas.

The Zip-Dees are our choice for short stints such as happy hours; just reach in the door and grab them. Also, the Zip-Dees are all that we carry on trips where we won't be spending signifigant liesure time around the trailer or where the under-bed storage is full of musical instruments (guitars and banjos take a lot of space). On our last 11 day trip to a musical event, we never had space for other than the Zip-Dees or opportunity to use any chairs at all.
For rallies, though, we stow under the bed a couple of more comfortable, more reclining, chairs with drink holders that we bought at Sam's and we use those chairs when there is opportunity to set up for longer periods.
