Wanted argosy that is 25' or under, in good condition. We really don't care what year it is. But it needs to be a decent price. And by decent price I mean $7000 and under. If it needs minor work done that's fine. Just as long as we can go camping in it. We will go " fetch" the trailor if necessary as long as you aren't in alaska, hawaii, or over seas.

I know where two are. Berning RV in Ft Wayne, IN has one. It is a 24 footer and I'm sure in your price range. Look them up on the Yahoo yellow pages. It was there Memorial day weekend. I don't know if it has sold, but call them to find out. Looked in good, above average shape. We looked inside. I doubt it needed much work. If you get it tell them John that bought the Safari sent you.
The other one is bigger than you stated. It appears to be a 28 footer, probably twin, because it does not have the rear bubble windows. It is in a private owner's yard. PM me if you want more info on that one, cause that's all I know right now.
There was a 26 footer in Elkhart, IN about a month ago, it was on the RV trader online website. That one needed some work, though.
Also - you might search here in the "for sale" area. Rog0525 was selling an Argosy 26' twin bed. We had friends who wanted one, but their life is complicated right now, so have to wait. He had posted he wanted $3500. It was in real good condition for that price and he has sold other AS trailers so has references. Good luck.
PS - He lives in Michigan. Also, had quite a few pictures of his available. You might PM or e-mail him.

thanks I'll check those out. I didn't know rv places even got those in. We have two trailor places up here but they only get newer airstreams in. I'm glad there are reliable people to get them from. So I'll check those out and get back to you guys.

I am half hartedly looking at a 26ft as a fixer upper to turn around and resell. I know it's longer then you desired. If I get this for what I think it's worth before cleaning up I could work with you on the price and condition. You could put some sweat equity in it after I do the more involved stuff and get it cheap. Then you can choose stuff like curtains and flooring.
What part of the country are you in?
A lot of this centers around my job situation. I should know something in the next week or two and either come to terms with this guy or walk from it. If I get the pink slip I'll have a fat severence and be able to turn this thing around real quick. If I don't get the pink slip then I may have to walk from it for lack of time.

I know where there is a small 22-24 foot double axle rear door in original condition. It is located in central NY, and the owner wants to sell it. I am going to get it, and sell it for $3000. Has a really unique layout but very clean.

I've never seen one like it before.. It's been a while since I've seen it. You enter at the rear of the trailer, the bath is to your left (rear bath). Directly in front of you is a closet. Then a wall divider on the curb side, then the oven, counter and sink, then it goes into a wrap around couch all the way back to the door, in an L shaped form, with a L-shaped table, with storage underneath.
I'm in NC and the trailer is in NY. Where are you located?

It's here somewhere... (accompanied by all the Cheshire Cat's diversionary sounds). For previous discussion on the rear door model take a look at http://www.airforums.com/forum...ead.php?t=8752
Wa-a-a-ay in the middle of restoring my rust-bucket 24-footer (still dreamin' and wishing I were in the Northwoods with it right now!)
Somewhere here in the forums there is a post w/picture or advertisement showing the rear door layout...I just can't remember the name of the post, but using the search button w/"Argosy rear door" might show it to you.

1976 22' Rear Door. In good shape from what I could tell. Does need some paint though.
