Lightbulb Wanted: Airstream for doccumentary traveling Route 66

My name is Anthony Brownrigg. I have recently been brought on to Direct a doccumentary about Route 66. Fifteen people, and four video cameras will doccument the trip from Chicago to Vegas. MTV Real world style, and give homage to a famous road. One thing I wanted, is to find an Airstream to take on the trip with us. It just seems fitting to me. Anyone out there wanna go on an expense paid trip with their airstream? Or Rent one? sell one? donate one? I'm open to suggestions.

You will, of course, be needing a 66 model.

Thumbs up

Anthony,

I would be very interested in talking with you further about your trek.
We have an extremely sound/attractive 69 Soveriegn International (31') (looks just like my avitar) w/ perfect walnut venieer interior, and original zipdee awnings...looks like new (should film well), and a new Ford Superduty turbo-diesel.
If this sounds like a good fit please drop me an email.

Thanks,
Mark

Unhappy Route 66 trip

Anthony,
My wife and I had planned to do a Route 66 trip for our 25th wedding anniversery this summer until our 20 year old son was mobilized (April) to Iraq. We would not be in a position to go along on the trip with our 1975 31' Sovereign in September but I do have a recently purchased 1964 24' Tradewind that needs some clean up and repair. If you would like to cover the cost of this work you could barrow this trailer during your travels and filming of Route 66.
Thank you,
Dennis

Wow! sounds fun.

Wish our 59 was ready to go and I would be all over this. I'm about to start restoring and that will take at least 6 months.

Hi Anthony... MAN would I love to go on this trip with you. Wish I had a usable Airstream, I've got a broadcast quality cam too. Nuts. My thoughts and prayers are with you for 'the bomb' of a documentary trip. When do y'all start?

Here are 2 links for folks in Texas that may be able to help you with an Airstream:

www.airstreams.net ...speak with Erica

www.classycamping.com ...speak with Debby (JoAnn is on vacation)

I've JUST emailed Debby at Classy Camping. She has a 1967 Airstream. I know it's one year off the magic number but worth a look!
God Bless & PLEASE keep us posted!

Smile Airstream for sale on different site

Anthony ...I just looked at Erica's site. Here's a 1970 Overlander 27' for $3995. Good price for one that looks to be in really nice condition. Here's a link for photos of the trailer: http://homepage.mac.com/airstreams/PhotoAlbum54.html

Keep us posted!

Anthony,

Me and wife have a real interest. Have a 1972 25 foot Airstream Landyacht. Can tow with newer Suburban or 1982 Gmc pickup.

You can e-mail me ggajr@earthlink.net

Best Regards
