We are in the market for a 22'-25' Airstream somewhere within driving distance from San Antonio (the closer the better, but beggars can't be choosers). I am good a fixing things up, but have no experience...

Thanks for the post. Since I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I want to stay within safe towing limits. The Jeep has a short wheelbase, and I don't think it would be a good idea to tow more than a 24'/25' vehicle. Ideally, something around 22-23 would suit us the best (about max for the Jeep)
Good luck on the search. I love my '67 24 footer with twins. Works great with wife, two kids and a dog. Not too big, not too small. We live north of you in the Fort Worth area. Maybe cross paths camping sometimes since we head your way often...especially during the winter. We can usually buy a few degrees of warmth between DFW and the San Antonio area.
