Vintage AS Wanted

Hello All

I am looking for an older Airstream. I would like to find a 1960-1969 Airstream that is less than 26'. I am located in Utah and finding one in Utah would be great, but I am willing to travel to surrounding states. If you have any information on a trailer like this please let me know.

Try checking out the VAC classifieds: http://www.airstream.net/classifieds...l?cat=Trailers

I posted a "trailer wanted" ad and half a dozen people responded within 24 hours. All were within a two hour drive.

You might check out ebay, too. There's a 1960 Safari listed that's well into a restoration--might be as nice as I've seen listed for sale in a while.

I think most folks would agree that there's no substitute for seeing the trailer in person, though. Good luck on your search!

I also got a lot of good leads by putting a 'wanted' ad on the VAC classifieds, but the one that did the trick was putting an ad in the local paper in nearby Portland, OR. We got a response on the first day, and that was the one we brought home! It took us five months of searching to get around to doing that. These AS are hard to find and they sell fast when you do find them. Good luck in your search.

VAC Classifieds

I posted a want ad on VAC classifieds and within a week a guy that was about twenty miles from us called us. It was really cool, we ended up not having to travel to pick up our baby. 1972 31ft International Sovereign.
Good Luck!

Hello All

Thanks for the tips. I have tried the VAC list and Ebay, I have had people respond from the vac but most have been to far away. I will probably try a classified ad in the newspaper in Salt lake. Of course I have an image in my head of what I consider the perfect Airstream to be, so I may search for awhile before I find it. Thanks again

1964 Tradewind

I have a 64 Tradewind I bought the first of June and plan to recondition it and sell at a later date. I have not begun work on it yet and probably will not until August sometime. I have tried to include pictures with this message if you have further questions please inquire.
