I am thinking of parting out a 1969 Sovereign 31' with rear bath. It is in need of a lot of work and money to fix. Floor seems to be gone in several areas and I have not the time to put into this project. So if there is enough interest in the parts I will try to sell enough to make it worth the time and effort. I would even be interested in selling the complete unit as well. This unit is the first year of the new body style. Please send responses to... TRogers713@juno.com
The water heater, fridg, oven and furnace are pretty much gone. I have parts for them but not sure how good they would be to someone. The interior wood work can be salvaged along with all the windows. I do have a Dip Zee awning but the material is shot. Access doors, converter, sink, stove top, even the exterior door would be available. Lights, inside and out, Aluminum panels for repair, and the list goes on. I will try to find a few pics to put on in the near future.

I need the outside refrigerator access door, the front of trailer
curb side, double pane window, and the complete lock assembly for the battery box compartment, and the screen door. Also on the inside, I need the botton street side panels from the refrigerator foward around to the curved panel on the curb side. Also the front couch, and the cabinet to the right of the refrigerator, and a dinette. If it is a rear twin, then I need the both bed frame/side assemblies. Could drive out and pick up big items.

Even though the 69 was the newer design there seems to have been several changes between it and say a early 70's model like your 73. This is usual fare on any introductory model. I noticed quite a bit just looking at Swinking's 69 the other day. The 69's still had most of the 60's components in them, wood interiors, single pane glass and so on.
I would like to find a basketcase like this 69 here locally. I have this crazy idea about building the first Airstream slide-in truck camper.
I am thinking of selling my airstream but do not know what it would be worth. It is in excellent condition and the only thing(s) wrong with it are the exterior could use some work, the furnace is shot and one of the windows that was replaced by a previous owner is not a perfect fit.
Of course, being as old as it is, it has a few other war wounds, but I have been living in it for 4 months and found it to be very comfortable.
The interior looks great and we took out the old stinky carpet and replaced it with 'retro' lino and a carpet section in the bedroom area. We also restained all the woodwork and it looks fantastic.
We put in a brand new water heater and repacked all the bearings on the wheels. Recently (this August) we towed it over 3 mountain passes and it pulled fantastically in true airstream style.
