Original furnace for late 60s wanted

I believe that my Caravel came from the factory with a Hydro-Flame furnace, but it was replaced with a Thermx catalytic at some later date.

I'd like to find a original Hydro-Flame or equivalent warm-air furnace (not catalytic) that will fit back into the original space. What I like about these units is that they don't require 12v electricity. Since we are boondockers most of the time, a modern RV furnace that uses 12v isn't a good option for us.

The catalytic Thermx that we have now works fine (and also doesn't use electricity) but it sticks out in the Caravel's narrow hallway and gets hot enough at the surface that we don't dare use it while we are sleeping.

Anyone who wants to sell or trade a used unit, send me a PM or email mikeylife83@hotmail.com. If I locate one, my "classic" Thermx will be up for sale too (see pic).

Hi Rich, keep an eye on eBay, one came up earlier this summer. I almost bought it to put aside for spare parts in case I need to keep ours running in the future.

I really like our Hydro-Flame, it's easy to use, keeps the place warm, doesn't stick out too far, and doesn't get hot enough to be a hazard.

You might post a wanted ad in the parts section on the VAC classifieds if you haven't yet.
