Need Lots of Airstream Trailer to ship tp Japan

25' to 31' - Looking for ones in excellent condition - willing to pay fair going rate price. Years 65 to 80.
Prefer location to be in the west -unless you're willing to transport for a fee at our expense. Email pictures to dave@spproducts.net

Norris, why don't you order a bunch of new ones and ship them over? Factory would love the extra work.

Thumbs up

Keeping mine!

For now until I can afford more real estate and a tow vehicle to pull it with!

Keeping my 77 MH

Even though I might have lost the engine of my 454 MH and suffered monetary losses the uniqueness and quality that is the Airstream and Argosy compells me to keep her no matter what. The Japanese have always reccognized craftmanship and we should be glad for that. It will be sad when there are less AS left in the US at a later time and we find out because of a Japanese reccession the exported AS go the way of the Derby winner Ferdinand. Once they leave our shores the never return.

Another disappearing icon

Add one more item to the list of American icons going overseas forever. Many of our older light aircraft, many of our museum-quality banjos, and now vintage Airstreams.

I agree with Pick, send 'em some new ones. The Internationals fit their roads and the CCDs should fit right in with Oriental decor.

Its kinda funny-

..but everything goes through a stage of worthlessness- where it ends up as being of little value to us, and some other country has the vision and foresight to start snapping them up.

If anyone has ever driven around on the weekends in Sweden or Finland, all those gas hog muscle cars we couldn't wait to dump because gas went from .40 to $1 a gallon- so we could run out and buy Japanese Junk, Pinto's and Vega's- are cruising around with their tops down and drag racing at semi- organized meets. 427 Vettes, Hemi Cuda's, Shelby's- you name it.

With the dollar weakening and the Euro and SEK gaining and no end in sight, coupled with the unemployment rate that will continue to grow, its bound to happen again. I was all set up to start buying Panhead Harleys in Sweden and ship them back before the $ started to drop. They take great care of their stuff though- so you know they're at least in good hands- which I prefer over seeing my old '63 Impala SS turned into a ghetto cruisin' jump mobile with more hydraulics than a D9 Cat.

I got a call from a fellow that wanted a Bambi 2 that I have to send it to Tokyo for use as a coffee shop. Declined- even though he offered me more money than I will ever get for it.
I've even started working on plans to build replica Bambi bodies in Russia to ship over and have aluminum frames installed for the Frosty Bites guy who wants them for his franchises of A/S Ice Cream Trailers- it'll even cost him less. I just can't stand the thought of all our little campers getting commercialized onto the sidewalks of the world.

Figure out what ya want, buy it and keep it!
