Don't think this is a typo.

Yikes!

More than I want to spend on an Airstream. - or anything else for that matter!

Course it DOES include a truck and all the "goodies" but still!

Typo?

It's not a typo - you just overlooked the fact that the exterior skin is silver - not aluminum!

Phew! If that's actual silver, he's probably trying to recoup all the money spent on silver polish, hence the big ticket!

1983' 34' Limited

Saw a new ad this morning on what looks like a really clean '83 Limited. Ought to go fast.

Still needs all the hard work and effort put into it that Smily put into his, though.

Hey, I just got Rivet #2. Woohoo!

If I had just one more check in my checkbook, I'd head your way!

Dave,

I think that is a gussied up Excella. The limited had lay down LP tanks that slide under the couch. I think they had them from the start. It was a holdover from the squarestream/argosy designs.

I think? Maybe? I would be sure to check before assuming it is a Limited.

Thumbs up Head west

Maybe your checkbook can handle the one in Vegas.

That is a KILLER deal.

I would not even let mine go for close to that.

A limited too. That one wont last.

Nope

No, the limited had stand up tanks that year and the following year. We have member in the SCCU, "SNADI" with an 84 model.

it has stand up tanks, I seen a 90 model in TOG with upright tanks.

All's I know is, I'm not going to be able to get what I want until "my ship comes in" (currently in drydock somewhere?). Until then I'm trying to channel that energy into a creative outlet - like scratch-building a 34-footer from balsa and basswood in 1/12 scale. So far it's working - I actually spend more time sleeping at night than lying awake thinking about Airstreams! LOL

Expensive AS

That high priced Airstream was on e-bay last year but it didn't sell. I wonder why?

That thing is in my area as in the same Zipcode. The story I heard is it belongs to one of the local ball players and is used as a dressing room private space. There is a couple Players that live in the area but I forgot who. I think Ron Gant is one of them. Most live in either Buckhead or Alparetta at Country club of the $outh. My job use to put me in contact with them regularly.

I thought I recognized the building behind it but it was not it. I'll keep an eye out for it.

How Much?

Heck, our present house didn't cost that much. If it had 10-20 acres of land included, maybe...

Wow the one in that first ad is near my home. I will have to hang a sign on mine that says "for sale $195,000" or best near offer.
Of course the ad is connected the Dupont Registry...real high prices for those for whom money is no object.
There are some 345's on there above the 40,000 mark, but compared to this trailer that is quite realistsic.
I told my wife ours would appreciate
