Airstream Overlander and 1949 SS Clipper for sale in NC

Both on Ebay now with others too!

Unit 1 is a 73 Overlander:
This is a 73 Airstream Overlander 27' it weights 4500 pounds and tows great!
I have checked the refrig/freezer, furnace & auxillary heat, oven, stovetop, A/C, Electrical, radio, propane systems, tongue jack, stabilizers, windows, etc...and everything works great! I removed carpeting and the floor looks very good. It is very clean inside except bathroom needs floor repair, a small section of the floor was cut out to do repair and not replaced.
see more pictures at http://photos.yahoo.com/richtrich

Unit 2 is A 1949 Silver Streak Clipper 22':
This 1949 is a one owner unit, it was painted in 1950! I have removed most of the paint and the skin is amazingly strait with full aluminum belly pan intact.
Tows great and will be an easy restoration.
Look at pictures at http://photos.yahoo.com/richtrich

1953 ss Clipper has been sold!

Beautiful SS trailers

Dear richardt,

Those are two very nice Silver Streak travel trailers. How did you come to acquire them? Are they both tow worthy? I have the 1978 SS motorhome....

Like Marco Polo, I search far and wide for spices and treasures, and have had great luck finding rare items for you to buy.

Treasures = Silver = Airstreams and the like!

All tow excellent and have been towed by me personally.

What's with the windows on the front of the second clipper? I assume that's not original?

Way cool trailers, Rich, my husband went nuts for one we saw in CA. Too bad you're on the other side of the country! Those are real finds

I was told they are experimental and appear to be original to this trailer.
At the time you could custom order just about anything you wanted!

In fact the 53 has factory installed bunk beds and these are super rare too!

The 53 weighs about 2250 stock and the 49 about 2050 stock so they can be towed by just about anything!

These trailers are Very VERY COOL!

Love those front windows

The 2nd one, the 53 is almost giving me the restoration bug. Not sure that would be my choice in beds, but it's beautiful. I find myself wondering how long it would take to tow to Phoenix (could you live in it on the way?) and where I would store it. And of course how many years it would take to restore with my present employment... Cruel reality, but dreaming is fun on a Sunday morning.

Yes you could use it along the way it is usable as it is!

Many take the original twin beds out and install a queen size bed, It could be done in an hour.
