1999 Excella. Has a couple of dents in the rear on either side of the rear window and a small one under the curside wrap window. Wouldn't they affect the value? I would be concerned that those in the rear might have caused a leak around the window or some structural damage.
Yes, the dents certainly affect value. Hard to say how much, but maybe close to the cost of replacement (about $1,000 each).
They probably (but not certainly) will not cause leaks. No structure (ribs) seem to be involved.
As I write this, the high bid is close to full retail value for that particular coach, without so many dents. And it still has not reached the reserve. I don't see any bargain here.
I thought there was an awfull lot of activity for it to be so early in the bidding. It is not a trailer that I'm interested in. Just curious. One of my employees pointed it out to me knowing that I am planning to purchase a new AS in a few months. He thought I might be able to get a bargin. But, as you say, I didn't think this was one.
They don't look all that bad in the photo, but can't tell much of anything in a photo, anyway. It's got some nice features, like the Corian countertops, but that carpet's going to have to be replaced, for sure!
