airstream on ebay

Has anyone seen this airstream? It is located in Ohio. I emailed the seller and he says he has no pics of the inside as it is packed with stuff to store over the winter. I just wondered if anyone on this forum had looked at it. Thanks

I just did and it looks as if the unit is being used in some sort of full time campground.

Here is my .02. If someone is going to sell something, particularly where the unit cannot be seen, they should expect people to want to see the inside and be able to provide detailed pics. Thus, the eBayer should have cleaned it out and gotten some interior shots.

This could be something, this could be nothing, but when folks come back with answers like that, sometimes they could be hiding something.

There is a thread on the forum where folks who might want to purchase an Airstream in another state has it's own little network of folks willing to drive a short distance to go look and document the actual coach so that you do not wind up with a grossly mis-advertised unit. Here is the link to see if there is someone near that coach that might be able to help you out. I would not bid on it without first getting some inside shots....also would look for frame seperation in the back.

Just from the description:

The couch is gone. The refridgerator and water heater are likely house type, not RV. He doesn't want you to know what is inside.

From experience:

Axles wear out, and 32 years is plenty of time to do it. Sitting in one spot (as in the present case) for long periods of time is the quickest way to loose the "spring" in the axles. Almost any park model will need tires. Almost any unit that age will have some floor rot.

On the plus side:

He intends to sell it and apparently has no illusions as to value. There is no reserve.
