Abused globetrotter on ebay...
I was perusing the 'designer prototypes' on eBay when I spotted this little trailer, and literally GASPED IN HORROR at the pictures! Oh what a hard life this poor little trailer has suffered!

I can think of only one person on this forum with the wherewithal (courage) to undertake that project - Bredlo! I considered Ron but but thought better of it after closer examination.
Ouch!

I wonder how long it sat in that water?
It's a 1962 19 ft not a 16ft. It would be a bambi if it was a 16. to much work. It's toast. If it had it's windows I would have ovvered $200 just for the windows but it's not worth it for anything else.

It looks like it was hit in the front straight on from the way the panels are buckled down the sides. I figured that was where the other 3 feet went

Alot of folks that don't know much about Airstreams miscalculate the length by thrre feet...that's because AS are measured from tongue to tail including the bumper (usually about 1') and the tongue hitch (usually about 2'). Our 19' GlobeTrotter's body is actually about 16'.

I don't think it looks that bad. At least he didn't use a "big-*ssed grinder" to clean up the outside.
I think the stone guard looks salvageable. I might bid on it!

Looks like the front is wearing a diving mask. What is that funny looking window extension? Were they trying to make up for the missing three feet?

That poor trailer would not be worth 'dragging home'...That is if it would even make it out of the driveway. You can see 'waterlines' all in the interior. Looks like it had been sitting in a swamp somewhere for lord knows how long....Feel sorry for the poor sucker that buys that thing in attempts to restore it...

Andy to the Rescue!!!
"No title" Hmmm... how much you wanna bet it was found abandoned somewhere and hobbled home? And now it's for sale on Ebay. Sheesh!! Is that 10 tubes of silicone I see holding the front window on? And is that window from a pickup truck camper top or what? It's a shame to see an old timer like that in such sad shape. Hope someone is able to bring it back to life somehow. Can't see it but... Hey you know it occurs to me, this looks like a job for Inland RV! What an advertisement it would be to have before an after pics of this one on their site!
Just walk away? NO WAY!!! Andy'll fix it!

Title on something that old doesn't bother me. In GA that resists issuing a title on cars over 15 years old. I always get one when possible but I don't fret when I don't have one.

Not a straight panel on it, and can you imagine the rot and mold in the floor and walls - eewwwwww! I don't think you could pay me to drag that thing home. Sad to see the WBCCI number on top and think of the fun days it might have spent travelling the country in the old days - before the flood!

X - LOL!!! I think I'll take that as a compliment, though my sweet wife Melissa would shake her head and agree with you for other reasons.
No, not even I would attempt to save that little guy. He looks like he's been " ridden hard, and hung up wet", as my mother would say.
One thing, though. Separated at birth... This:
and old guys who wear these!

I wonder if the number 4418 could be traced back to see who it had belonged to...You can still see the numeric outline over that god awful window in the front of the trailer...Something has got to be fishy when there is no title....Maybe someone dumped it years ago for insurance or got mad at their ex...Man, wouldn't that be the ultimate blow!!! Anyone that abuses an AS like that would be on the ten most wanted list!!!!

Good, the poor thing has found love
I was still tempted, considering it's only four hours away from me. But what a mess.
Congratulations on your purchase!!! Best of luck, and you will HAVE to keep us posted!
