Smile '78 28" Airstream FS; West Coast

We're selling our 1978 Ambassador after a year of ownership; 28" long, rear bath, front side-couch; we upgraded a couple of things after buying it--put down a floating wood floor throughout, re-upholstered the couch and side beds with new hidh-density foam; new large twin LP tanks, new tires ('03), new shocks, new brakes and new batteries last month. It has the vista-view windows (for better or worse! :-) Fridge, stove, oven, lavy, a/c, electrical system all work. The trailer needs a new awning, some trim work in the restroom, the a/c drain re-connected and new seals on the front door and the stove vent cover--and I'm looking for a roll-up cabinet door for above the sink. The front door and stove vent cover are the only drips we've found through the winter. There is one scrape near the rear left corner (foot long--I did it...) other than that no other dents. Did I mention the four slotted mags and original 8-track? Comes with some tapes, too! (Sounds like crap though...):-0
It's a good looking trailer and is in good shape for it's age. I'm listing it next week on eBay with pics but I thought I'd do this first. It's a little heavy for our tow vehicle (F-150--and we're getting a new trailer :-). We're asking $6000, a bit less than we have into it; if interested, please contact dave@coffeetopia.com with questions.

Oh yes, we're in Santa Cruz, CA, (Monterey Bay--Central/Northern California...). I'll follow up here with a link to the auction for this traler next week.

Thanks!

edit: Pics are up--see below for a link! Added some text above, too. Thanks to those who emailed! D.-

Talking Picture update

I've added a bunch of photos of my 1978 Ambassador 28' to my gallery at Airstreamphotos.com. Here's a link to my gallery: http://www.airstreamphotos.com/photo...00/ppuser/1756
Thanks for the interest in our trailer; fwiw I'll probably be holding off on an ebay listing due to the response this post has generated.

Thanks!
Dave

ps. eBay listing is going up tonight; NO RESERVE!

Thanks, AirstreamForums!

Yup,
We sold our AS; this may not be the right heading under which to say so but THANKS to everyone here at the forums. I can't count the number of times I'd used the forums as a reference, or less often asked a question and recieved a quick response. Although I no longer am a part of "the Family" I will always hold the Airstream community at large in high regards.
Bye. :-)

Dave
