Well,
Tony wants a 63 Bambi. (the year he was born) That's really our only goal of the one we'll never let go of. Well, I would probably never let go of the Safari either. still think about renting out my unit in my two family flat, and live in the safari. I would make thousands selling off all of my stuff!!! Then pay off all of my bill, and start all over again in a few years.
Tony doesn't like the idea though....LOL
If a 63 Bambi ever crosses our path, we may sell off everything just to have it. He wants to park it in the back yard, so he can look at it all of the time....
I think it would be a great place to set up my computer, and chat with all of you fine folks, instead of sitting down here in the basement under my concrete front porch.....(I'm really stashed away down here....)
So, It wasn't meant to be.
But like I said. If I don't hit the reserve (which I won't tell what I set it at, you all will laugh....) I might not get rid of it.....
I'm sure you all will be watching.
Ron

Sometimes it takes up to 24 hrs for the auction to show up using the "search" tool...

Woohoo
OK, reserve isn't met, but FINALLY someone bid on it without a (0) behind their name.... After Rogers bad experiences, I dont' know if I trust buyers without 'Ebay Rivets'
Just happy, wanted to share. ALmost to reserve, and someone is coming up to look at it tomorrow...

Don't tell ebay
but my neighbor is a DIE HARD ebay freak. She made me sell some stupid stuff to get my numbers up. I can't remember, oh yeah, I sold a picture of myself...LOL...and some other useless crap. But it worked. I did sell some stuff legitimately (sp?) but that was a great start.

you can trust most people
Ya, I bought an airstream on ebay 3 weeks ago, first time I used ebay. Paid $5,600 through wire transfer faster than the lady even wanted the money. She said she'd wait till I got there because she didn't want to give me her banking info, I wanted to make sure she had no reason to sell to anyone else. Instead I wired to the bank in her name. She could have 'ripped me off' but didn't. I think most people are honest. Good luck. Susie

It's all over but the cryin
I just returned from delivery of the 64 to Farmington, MO, aprox. and hour and a half from here. It has found a WONDERFUL new home with two great people in the country, so to speak. I will post pictures in a bit.
The New owner showed me cabinets and furniture he had made, and his pride and joy, a canoo, an incredibly built wooden canoo. The restoration will happen over the next two years, and of course I have turned him on to the forum, where I promised we all will be able to help him out. This is their first airstream, found after, what seems, a long time researching what they will retire in.
Just wanted to let you all know. I, as an Airstreamer, am proud to say, I sold it for a modest price, and recieved no more than I put into it. I knew imediately that they were the perfect candidates for Airstreaming.
Thanks for checkin in, and all of the support. I'll post a pic of it at it's new home later.
Thanks
Ron

ebay newbie scores an A/S!
Like Quicksilver, I made my first ebay purchase when I bought the Trade Wind. The seller was VERY frightened of me, especially of my newbie feedback.
But I am SO HAPPY that he accepted our bid and that we got our wonderful A/S!
Now I am watching ebay for a great price on a perfect Cyclo!
Congrats to Ron and Tony and Lance for what looks like a happy ending.
Connie
