We have a 1999 25' Airstream Safari for sale. It is in excellent condition and has always been stored under cover.
Since we have owned it, we have:
- Installed leveling jacks on all four corners,
- Installed water filtration system under kitchen sink,
- Installed new silent water pump,
- Installed new kitchen faucet,
- Installed new battery,
- Flushed the holding tanks,
- Lubricated the wheel bearings.
This Airstream is clean and in great, like new, condition. It is a twin bed configuration and is located in the Houston, Texas, area and we are asking $18,500.
Feel free to respond here, or give us a call at 936-448-2730.
Thanks,
Carl and Cheryl Jackson

Sorry to hear that you are parting with your Safari! I was contacted by a man in central California that was looking for a Safari with twin beds and a 3 burner cooktop with oven. What is your configuration?
I'm curious about the upgrade you did to the leveling jacks. Can you tell me about it? Who did it and what jacks were used...etc.
Thanks for the comeback. Our little Airstream has a three-burner stove and twin beds. We love it, but since we ride motorcycles as well, we are going to go with a fifth wheel so we can pull a small motorcycle trailer.
I had the scissor type jacks installed on all four corners, and they work very well. They were installed here in Houston at Spring Cypress RV. I remember that they made a call to Airstream before the installation to make sure they were putting them in the right place. This is evidently a very important issue on these trailers.
As to the manufacturer of the jacks, I am not sure (the trailer is not right here or I would go out and look). I can say that it was a three letter abbreviation something like HGI, LHI, AGH, (?), something like that. I am sorry I do not have the correct initials.
When I go out to pick it up next, I will take a look and let you know.
I hope this helps you.
Like I said, we love the trailer, no worries, other than we would like to take our motorcycles with us more and we cannot accomplish that efficiently with a TT.
I'll pass on the info about your sale. I don't know if he wants to go to Texas, but he was willing to come to San Diego.
I'm guessing that the rear jacks went were the factory jacks were, but I am curious about placement of the front ones. If you had a photo of the trailer on all four jacks, I would really like to see that. Did it make a big difference?
Are you talking about a motorcycle trailer behind the fifth wheel? I don't think triples are legal in California, but they must be in Texas.
You are right. I had them replace the little jacks on the back and beef them up with the scissor jacks. As I mentioned, the RV dealer had to call Airstream for placement information on the front jacks. They did a good job, and the jacks are great. Once I put them down, the Airstream is solid as a rock. My advice to anyone is to go ahead and make the investment if you spend a lot of time the trailer---very solid feel. When I go out to the trailer next, I will take a couple pictures and post them for you.
Be sure and let me know if your buyer is interested, and if he decides to buy, we could meet him somewhere to make the exchange (El Paso, Dallas, etc.). I will go a little ways to help facilitate the deal if necessary, although a pickup here is Houston would be best.

He might be thinking of the newest configuration called "SUV" trailer. These usually have a rear opening for driving your ATV, motorcycles up the ramp. Actually, very kewl idea..
Thanks for the comeback. Actually, I cannot take credit for the picture as it is off a marketing brochure. I posted it only as an example of what ours looks like. Credit for the picture goes to A/S.
As for the weight, it is right at 5,000lbs for the Safari (FACTORY WEIGHT, W/O OPTIONS OR VARIABLE WGT.) and 680lbs. (HITCH WEIGHT, W/O OPTIONS OR VARIABLE WT.), although I have not had it weighed.
