I sold a 28' Argosy less than a year ago for $5500 and thought to myself that I was selling it too cheap. I had replaced the air conditioner (about
$800), installed two new water heaters (an electric and a gas) (about $800), complete new plumbing system ($400), new fresh water tank ($150) and rerouted the fill, new forced air Suburban heater ($900), tires ($400) and brakes ($150), and repaired the belly pan by replacing a number of panels. All of the above was done in the year prior to sale. Some of the above costs included paying someone else to install or help me to install the equipment. Like the above unit, the body was flawless with no leaks apparrent ever and the inside was in really great shape except that the folding table needed to be repaired or replaced.
This unit was sound as a dollar and weighed half what my present unit weighs. Like Janet's husband said, it is what it is worth to you, the shape it is in and what needs to be done or has already been done. If you want it, it is probably worth the money.
