Ads advertising Ebay ads are not allowed in the forums classifieds. Ebay makes a ton of money off their auctions, and it's not right for our free forums classifieds to be supporting Ebay.
REALLY!? Click on "classifieds" on this site and the whole right quarter of the page from top to bottom is full of ebay ads. By the way: my first posting. Something of a negative Welcome To The Club, I'd say.

I'm sorry you feel that way. We work hard to keep our classifieds current and free from off topic and non-current ads. We prohibit links from our ads to ebay ads because the auctions are short and invariably, the ebay ad expires and the ad here remains. Members are frustrated by this. We do pull the e-bay ads over into a separate block because, our members are interested in airstream sales net-wide. Generally someone looking to purchase a trailer is looking here, on ebay, and every other place they can think of.

well i guess i should have been a bit more discreet about the ebay thing. i can understand it from both points of view. but ebay and airforums are not in competition, are they? i would like to repost my add minus any thing having to do with ebay. i personally hate ebay myself. its a giant ripoff but reaches the biggest airstream buying audience. with all due respect, thank you, i have learned most restoring techniques here and all the inspiration necessary.

As long as you remember to delete your ad when the Ebay ad expires. Otherwise, you'll be getting inquiries about a trailer you no longer have. Also, the Ebay ads on the sidebars of our site are placed there by Google, not the forums.
