Question User Names

Is there any way to change your user name? Many here have some pretty clever names. Our family says the one I chose is boring.

Yes.

I did it, just send a posting to the moderators and explain what you want for a new name. (I used to be "Tin Lizzy" then I got my second Airstream so naturally I'm "Foiled Again!")

Good answer Paula. The username changes but you'd still keep your history, the number of posts, etc.

Exclamation New User Name

Hello everyone, it's rgodfrey with a new handle.

After much thought, we have ended up here. Pat has always wanted a log cabin in the mountains, but we ended up with a Silver Cabin in Florida. At least we can take Daisy, our Silver Cabin, to the mountains or anywhere else for that matter.

Congrats Randy -- I knew you could do it. I thought I'd drive Shari batty when I modified my username about 3 times in one day a few months back. Shoulda known it'd take more than that -- she's tough!

Funny story about names. Yesterday we were sitting on the porch watching my brother pressure wash his clearcoat remover off and my dad looked at my sis in law (kern72) and said Tammy has Silver Threads on the back of hers, you need to put " Golden Needles" on yours! Dont know how many remember that song, but it use ot be pretty popular when I was growing up in the 70's!
I love the Silver Cabin name!!

SilverCabin, way better the old one. There seems to be more member names that start with silver then any other. How did you get so lucky and pick one that had no owner? I am glad that I didn't go with a silver pre-fix. It may have taken all day for me to come up with a new one. I am "AirStreamer" on the Saab forum. I had no problem getting it over there. I wonder why.

Welcome to the Forum, SilverCabin.

How's that old saying go? Something about a pot calling the kettle black?

I personally don't see the problem with using a name as your forum name. Many folks do.

Whatever happened to rgodfrey? I think "Randy" was his first name. He seemed like such a nice guy and you always knew who you were talking to...

Changing usernames

A general note for those who 'Search' and find this thread.

1. Please search the Members List to make sure you don't want a name that's already in use.
2. Go into your control panel (User CP) and make sure your email address is up to date. Everybody should do this anyway!
3. Only a forum administrator can change a username (InsideOut, jcanavera, Janet, Stefrobrts, CanoeStream), although any moderator can steer requests to us.

Please try to communicate your interest to just one administrator or moderator so we don't get confused and mix things up. Check which ones are online (or even in town!) so your request doesn't seem to go nowhere fast.
