PM me with your new name choice and I (or any admin) can change it for you.

Hi Shari;

On the same topic - is there a way to tie a previous user name posts with the new user name.

I.e. Technically I am no longer GT6921, in fact I have become a GT6319 but I think either GT1963 or LadyBug might be a nice change.

Can it be done???

Yes, if an admin changes your UserID in the database, your stats go with you and your AIR # stays the same.

If you re-sign-up under the new name, an admin can still merge your two ID's, however your AIR # will be the later one and your lower (older #) will be lost with your old name. Your posts & karma will still count, just your AIR # will be forfeited.

Make sense?

Shari

The username will convert to the new name in every single post you've ever made. Casual readers might read the above posts and get confused if they compare the changed name of the poster and the text of the post.

Be sure to check out the Members List to make sure any proposed new name is not in use.

Admins are InsideOut, Janet, jcanavera, Stefrobrts and CanoeStream.

PLEASE PM an ADMIN with name change requests...instead of posting to this thread, it helps in not having a mix-up with more than one admin trying to do it at the same time and your ID getting messed-up or posts lost ~ there is also a point person for accountability sake.

Thanks!

Shari
