Url and picture posting?

What is a URL and how do I use it to put pics on my blog. I know where to type it in. I just don't know what to type. Need specifics with examples, cause I'm really dense when it comes to this computer stuff. Please give examples of what I type in after the http// stuff. Thanks in advance.

the url option is to link photos you have on another site. I suspect you are trying to upload a photo directly to this site. If so, click the paperclip button and follow that.

After reading your questioned, I realized that I didn't know what URL stands for although I know what it is .
