Track Messages Question

In the User CP under Your Control Panel the is a topic Track Messages. In mine it listed 7 very old messages dating back to 03 and 05. I have 325 Private Messages what are and why are these 7 noted in this way. Is this a left over from something not used anymore?

Also there does not seam to be any way to use or access these messages from this list.

That is a list of message confirmations. When you send a PM, if you go to the "Additional Options" area under the text box, you can check "Request a read receipt for this message". When the other person opens their message, you will receive a notification.
