Lightbulb Suggestion: Airstream trailer Forums (by Model & Year)

I have noticed that not all Years/Models have a 'portal', while many of the designated Years/Models have no input as of yet.Also I have noticed some Years/Models are combined. Just wonderin' what that is all about.??

My suggestion is this;
At the top of each models page have a general "bio" of that particular moniker. this could include any available (and verified or generally accepted) info regarding said model. I would suggest a form be followed that would ID a number of necessary features and factoids when known.
i.e. Floor plans, lengths,number axles, options, special packages, description of various badges (nameplates) and striping, number produced, which factories built this model, suggested prices, weights, tire sizes, etc.

Also a photo file of any surviving sales brochures and perhaps advertisments could be attached if bandwith allows. I would also like to see the picture of the Owner's Manual and the Repair Manual with descriptions of these i.e. paperback/hardback and number of pages listed.
As for factoids I imagine such as :
...generally considered the rarest.....
...generally considered the most popular......
...etc,etc, you get the idea

Oh of course a group of 4 pix showing each elevation of the trailer would be very nice too.

Now for the record:I hate to sound like a "Me think-um ...YOU Do-um" ...BUT.... I vehemently and respectfully decline any and all suggestions that I undertake said suggestion!!!!
Actually I have not the knowledge-base regarding the trailers nor the puter competence.(Don't own a scanner) (don't know beans about posting pix) sorry!

yeah in the section for (model and year) there isn't much there.......there isn't a 77 overlander section eather. they should have all the info in with the spacific model and year that way you could look up info and pictures on a spacific trailer......it would be more organized and easy to use. there would be a lot less hunting. They should do what you said but you might not want to put prices in there people dont like to talk about that sort of thing.

Hey hex you missed out..... i had the the toast and it wasn't the lite stuff. blue ribbon sucks dude

p.s i fixed my latch for free!

Thumbs up

hex,
I really like your idea. I'd love to click on a particular year and read what models were available. The layout of each model/length and the available options would be informative. Let me think, isn't it vintageairstream.com that has a number of years, the models with length assigned to the model and a few external pictures? Wouldn't it be nice to have a few interior shots also? Sounds like a lot of work and definately over my head.
