Problems from Mac?

Has anyone tried to post photos using a Mac? I've been trying unsuccessfully - I keep getting error "creating thumbnail" or "bad file - please notify administrator" errors. I've resized, and made sure JPG's are being used. I also checked for spaces as well without luck - time of day does not seem to matter, as I've tried at night as well as day. HELP!
thanks!

Unhappy no permission granted

I still didn't get permission to remove photos....I don't know about other folks. Sorry to be a pain about it. I really enjoyed going all through all the photos a while back.

When I go to my profile and try and go to my photos I get this:

"CGIWrap Error: Execution of this script not permitted
Execution of (/home/sites/site42/web/photos/index.pl) is not permitted for the following reason:
Script file not found."

Maybe it doesn't know me for some reason although I am signed in.

Mac is what I use, have posted photos. What size, pixels/inch, etc. are you trying to post?

You made sure your file name ended with a lower case .jpg extension?

Unhappy photo postings

Thanks for the help, but when I attempted a 66k size photo with lowercase "jpg" I got "Error code 154 Command: / usr/local/magick/bin/mogrgy - format jpg - border 2x2 - bordercolor black - geometry 0x100" This is my most common error message. Any clues? I would really like to show you my weathertorn paint on my "new" trailer. :> The neighbors love it!

Unhappy photo postings

John - I looked again at some of my photo sizes - before resizing (down) two were 153K at 640x640 - 72pix/inch Too big? (although I did scale down some to approx 60K)
Thanks - Marc

Marc

Too big. Max width is 600 pixels. If you scale it down below that is should work.

AirstreamPhotos.com should not have a max size that small...

That is for attaching images to the forum posts, not including them on the Photo site. I will look into that error code soon.

Question It works! sort of?

Well, after days and nights of trying - I switched browsers (I should have known - using the dreaded Microsoft product with a..........(ssshhhh) Mac!). I uploaded (I thought) successfully using Netscape vs. Internet Explorer. However, when I went back to Airstream Photos, only two thumbnails where created :< .BUT, when I click on the broken thumbnail, the picture shows up. Any ideas? IS there a way to delete a picture and start over?
Thanks Andy (Organic Hosting) - LOVE the site!

Deleting photos

I tried to delete some of my photos using the editor on Airstream photos by clicking the "delete" box, but my message received is "you do not have permission to perform this task"? Any ideas?

Mac/Explorer/Netscape

Hi Marc,
I use 4 different Macintosh computers in my offices, and a Toshiba PC at home, and I was able to post photos just fine. Once I had a file extension with a space behind it, but Andy found the problem right away. Posting to the photosite is somewhat temperamental, but i doubt it has anything to do with browser or OS selection.I have a wild hodgepodge of browsers, different versions for different computers, and have not yet updated all of them. I think it is a difficult script, and it sometimes just has fits. Be patient, try again another day, and keep Andy posted on the error messages.
I tried to post one my pictures on the trailer by year segment, and it would not let me do this either. I'll have to try again another time.

I tried to

1. move photos I posted from one location to another

2. delete photos so I could reload them in a different location

I got the same "you do not have permission to perform this task" error message...seems like a bug of some sort needs to be worked out

I have only 4 pictures under my name. When I go to upload a photo it says I don't have enough space. I have resized my photos and saved them as jpeg files. Any idea why I can't get them to upload? The screen that appears when you're browsing the files says I have a negative amount of space left.

I don't get it,....

Help,
Ken

How many dpi are you using? One of the pictures is 1000k, two are over 400k. Should use 72 dpi for the internet, clear enough to see, but small enough for easy transfer and storage.
