Stars in Airstream photo section question

Two of my pictures in the 1990-2000 Airstream photos section have received STARS. While I am happy to see this recognition I am not sure how, who, or why they have been granted.

It is not just a viewer count situation because one of the pictures has nowhere near many of the pictures posted by others.

When you view a photo, you have the opportunity to rate the photo with stars (see the upper right section of the screen for this drop-down). Just means someone really liked your photos!
