Software upgrade and left column...

I have completed another software upgrade and am in the process of adding a left colum to most pages. This left colum will be used for better navigational links, rally info and as an area to sell some advertisements. Please bear with me on this change and with time I'd like to figure out a way where you can turn it off if you want, but for now I will fill it will info from around the site...

Sorry about the down time between 3:00 am and 12:30 pm (EST) today. I am in the process of doing some significant back end database migrations to allow us to "bring together" our information in a more effective manner. During this integration I found one little but that caused a dead end. So I am waiting on some feedback from the software developer to proceed.
