We are on SR 525 about a mile north of Greenbank. We are looking at Globetrotters so we can pull it with our Highlander. We may have found one in Shelton.

Whidbey Island is our new home. We moved here this month after selling our place near Bellingham. Building a little house in Langley soon. Small world!

I'm currently offering my Safari 25 and had great difficulty getting photos into the ad. So please be patient with geriatrics. We aren't rude. Just incompetent!

Another behaved oddly & became uncommunicative after we asked for additional photos & said we would like to come to see it. A deal for over $18,000 ought to be straight forward, shouldn't it?

So far, trying to trade my cash money for a decent AS has been discouraging. I haven't been low balling anyone either, just hoping for clear information leading to a fair exchange of money for a trailer. Any advice?
Come to Canada, to CanAm in London. John Watterton gave me straight info, and followed up on my requests. Good man to deal with.

I have bought two Airstreams and sold one here. I had several conversations with both sellers and my buyer. I think the classified section of this forum is a great place to buy or sell an Airstream. I removed my trailer the day the buyer pulled it away. Just keep looking and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Just a reminder, folks..this thread is about sellers not responding and/or updating their ads, not about new sellers trying to sell without putting in an ad of their own.

If you have a rig to sell, please do an ad in Classifieds.

Thanks for your cooperation.

This is a great site. I was a member when it first began.

I am just now selling a 1978- 29' Ambassador and have experienced a few irritations: 1) A lot of "Tire-Kickers" who ask for pics, But never respond Yay or Nay 2) Sellers who don't respond. 3) Lastly,... can anyone out there explain how/ why I cannot change my asking price during my 90 day ad run? Paid the $100.00 premium too, & can't tell if worth it.

You should be able to edit your ad - but if you need an assist, shoot me a PM with the changes you would like.

I have purchased three different Airstream trailers. One from a family friend (rare occurrance), one from a Craig's listing from an inheirited owner that just wanting to move the trailor out of the yard of a house for sale (even a rarer occurrance), and what I think is the best bet, your local Airstream WBCCI Club.

When you join the locale WBCCI club you will make contacts and receive a newsletter announcing members who wish to sell their trailers, usually for age related health reasons.

Good luck, there are deals out there.

I have found this to be true about the ads for parts also. I emailed a seller twice about a vent he had listed for sale. No response at all. Very frustrating.

I've had good luck with forum ads, one that was priced too cheap the guy responded even though he had multiple offers. The next one had been listed for awhile, the owner was very cordial and after an inspection trip we were able to strike a deal. We are now the proud owners of a 78 AS which needs some love, looking forward to the challenge.

Sold one, bought two thru the Airforums classifieds. No without some glitches in between. Bought my first Bambi II thru an ad here. All went smoothly. One listing the Bambi II for sale I received over 20 scam responses before removing the ad. That was during a period when many posters were reporting the same bogus responses. Management was able to get that slowed down for awhile. Unfortunetly the scammers are tenacious and keep coming up with new ways to draw in the gullible. When I next listed my Bambi II for sale it sold in less than 24 hours to a broker in Dallis. I received what I asked. I removed the ad when the deal was done. I next bought my Safari thru an ad here within 24 hours of its posting. The seller also removed his ad quickly.
I still believe that there should be a minimum number of post required before being allowed to post a for sale ad but do not believe that is ever going to happen here for some reason or other.
