Ed, keep it in the game. I agree with John. I like your tagline!

WOW!!! Yesterday we had the most ever members online @ 1253! Too bad they didn't take the time to vote ! Even if you were to subtract those that already did vote there would still be over 1000 that could have cast a vote or 3! Ed

that is incredible. i can't believe the voting wasn't bumped up as a result. too many guests, i guess.

Well....

I too view sometimes from afar (guest) but most of the time I sign in. The point is... If they view can't they vote? After all it is the tagline for the site. You would think that members would want their voice heard on an issue like this! Oh well! Ed

just logged out to try it. i could view it but i sure couldn't vote. it's an interesting idea to throw the voting out to the masses (guests) but then how would you determine who has already voted???

i'd love to see 2000+ people vote rather than a mere 200+ to determine the winning tagline.

What percentage of members have actually voted on this issue?

A very small percentage. If we have over 20,000 member and 240 have voted then that means slightly more then 1 percent. My guess is that many don't care to go through all 3 rounds of voting and also don't care what the tagline is. They are here for Airstream information, not to vote on taglines. I would even go so far as to say some people are here (and not "there") because there is less of all this voting stuff.

In this case, I felt it was a nice gesture to let the membership vote as I have on the other SK sites. We had the same problem on the tagline votes at those sites also (less participation as the rounds went on). I will however send out an email with details about the final round vote which will hopefully get some less frequent visitors to participate.

We were gone on vacation and completely missed out on the second round. I believe this could be part of the reason attendance is low. Perhaps a winter voting would have increased the participation somewhat.

You know, whoever votes, votes, and the others. . .well, they'll live with whatever the results are. We could ponder if's and but's endlessly (as we all so often do on this forum!), but in the end, a final selection will be made, Andy will affirm or do whatever he decides is in the best interest of the site, and we'll all go on posting and renovating and heading down the road with our Airstreams and AIR forums stickers on our windows.
