rivet under user names- why some users have them but not all

why do some users have a different number of rivets under their names.

i have none.

i tried to search for rivet in FAQ , but no luck

please advise how to enable that to track postings

Hi there. I don't remember the formula but it's based on number of postings. Very important to know - that's sheer volume, there is no evaluation of quality, reasonableness or value of postings. I'm a "rivet master" which only means I write a lot. Most of what I write is useless drivel so don't let the rivets fool you

I think you might get your first rivet at 100 posts or something like that.

Enjoy the forums!

Rivets are a function of post count which is described in the post #17 linked thread below.

Whether your account displays rivets or a custom moniker is a function of your User CP settings as Tom indicates in the post that precedes mine.

Useless drivel, but riveting, just the same

Your "useless drivel" can be someone else's treasured information.
