Referral Contest Ideas!

In order to help promote this Airstream forum community, we are asking our members to help spread the word!

We would like to run a monthly contest to help get fellow members to promote this Airstream forum community. This will help us build the critical mass needed to become the BEST resource on the web for sharing Airstream knowledge!

Contest Ideas:
The member with the most referrals each month gets a prize!
Each month's winner will get an entry into the "Annual Referral Contest" where a more substantial prize is given away!

Do you like this idea? If so...

What would be good monthly prizes?
- Maybe a special "Member Title"?
- A bonus rivet?
- Free Bumper Sticker?

How about a good Annual Prize?
- Rivet Shaver?
- Cyclo Polisher!
- Credit with an Airstream suppplies vendor?
- Praise and admiration from fellow members?

Please post your feedback! It is very much needed & used to make these forums better!

I hope that fellow members will notify other Airstreamers by posting a link to these forums from there personal Airstream pages. (FYI Thanks Fred, I saw the link from your site!) Also maybe posting links to our forums on the various List Servers would help? Many of the people who have signed up for the list servers would rather get share information in a forum! They may not know these forums are available? So let them know! If you are also an active participant on the list server, let them know about this forum!

Where do I find out how to do referrals to this site?

Your referral code is found in your profile...towards the bottom of the screen. I inserted mine into our webpage with the following code:

I like the idea of the bonus rivets! I think something that could be seen in your profile would be nice!

Well, I've checked my profile and don't see anything there that looks like a referral number!
Is it anything to do with HTML? I see in my 'Forum Rules' that everything is on except for HTML code, which is off.

I don't know if i has anything to do with the HTML toggle....but, I can see your referral number...it's "2716".

Click on your "profile" button on the bottom of one of your posts...it's there as "Referral Link" right above the ICQ Number field....fourth up from the bottom of the table.

It starts with "http://www.airstreamforums"....
