Rebellious Emoticons

I am encountering a minor annoyance. Since I'm intolerant of annoyances, this has become, for me, a major one.

When composing a message, the emoticons on the right side of the text box are refusing to join the text willing.

I used to be able to click on a smiley and have it inserted at the location of the cursor in the text box. Now I have to use the right mouse menu to copy the image and then paste it were I want it to be.

Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone wish to help put down this rebellion?

Ken

I'm using IE11 and Windows 7 Pro both 64 bit.

That's a cute play on words. Did those synchronized laughers go willingly, or did you have to man (mouse) handle them?

My posting has also become difficult. The emoticons don't respond and adding pictures has changed, they show up on the thread put there is no indication that they loaded in the "reply to thread" box. And the border lines around the reply to thread box are now black. It's subtle changes but it is definitely changed.

I am able to add emoticons just by clicking them normally. They are very well-behaved and quite docile. No rebellion here!

Maybe it was an April Fools gag that has since been reset?

If you are having problems please post what you are using and the browser, otherwise it's awfully hard to tell if it's a user specific problem or more widespread, no problems here on ipad with safari

I am using here, IE9 on a Vista Home system. No problems with cutting one from the herd.

Just click on one and they immediately respond. I like when I get a disciplined response.
