Well I've tried messing with Explorer's settings and cannot cure the problem. It is obvious that only a few of us are having the trouble, certainly not enough to start a riot.

Therefore I have decided to work around it and figure it will probably go away someday in the same mysterious fashion it appeared. In the meantime a few actual cuss words will probably be more satisfying than those stupid decapitated heads anyway.

Are you sure you are checking and not rubbing it in?

I have no problem with the emocons. The only problem is the back arrow for me. I have to push it 4 or 5 times to go to the previous page. It's only on this website, anyone else having this issue? I have current anti virus so maybe it's my air card or computer skills. Maybe I'll ask a 1st grader to teach me computer 101.

I went to my CP and selected Edit options and found near the bottom, the selection of text editor. I changed it to standard editor. I regained the lost functions and could insert smilies (however they show as their textual definition. I then returned to enhanced interface and am now able to bold, italic and underline again, but still cannot get smilies by just clicking on them. There is definitely something messed up there.

I have cleared all my browser history and all my cookies in both chrome and explorer 11 with no effect.

I am pretty sure that all you guys who are not having trouble will sooner or later start to gradually encounter problems if you are using the WYSIWYG editor. Since I am receiving so little sympathy, this will be my reaction to your distress:

Using windows 8 and cannot insert them, but, as you can see, bold, italics, and underline are no problem.

Hi, this is a test. Still no happy faces and once I use the bold it can't be stopped.

I can use my bold button to turn your bold off.

Go to the bottom of the edit options page in your user CP and switch to the standard editor and see what happens. It is called "message editor interface"

I think this link might get you to that page.

Its a good thing we really don't need this stuff.

The amount of assistance that we are getting from those that take care of this stuff is, so far, underwhelming.

I will admit that grabbing these little SOB heads, by their non existent necks and dropping them wherever we want with the mouse is somewhat satisfying. I going to stick the stupid one right here:

I have found another annoyance.

When I post, I like a single space between paragraphs. However lately I put a single space in the post, but when I post it there is a double space, I have to edit the post to remove the extra space.
