Questions for Moderators

1. How do I edit an older post? I finally found how I could edit within 20 minutes of posting, but I need to edit an older post.

2. How do I become "trusted" so I can reply to a PM?

3. What is the key to getting this forum to load screens? I'm on two other forums, and neither has all the lag and having to select (click) multiple times to get the forum to respond. I'm retired IT and I can't imagine how we could see this forum if not connected directly to high speed internet.

You can edit a new post for only a limited amount of time.

If you need to edit an older post, I would suggest quoting it and adding your information in a new post.

I believe that once you have 10 posts, you are in the okay zone, where posts and pm's go thru without first being seen by one of us.

I don't know about the screen issue, but others here may...

You will find a lot of answers to usage questions here...

Just to clarify on this issue - the moderators NEVER see other members PMs. We have no access to them at all. We only see them if someone reports a problem and forwards a PM to one of us.

That said, I thought you could PM immediately. I send out the welcome message, and every day I have PM conversations with new members who have 0 posts.

Of course, and I apologize for that confusing and inaccurate statement.

We can't see, nor would I ever want to see , others pm's unless they are reported by a recipient for being problematic.

I thought a pm restriction was attached to the less-than-10-posts moderation.

Problem with posts vaporizing

Twice in recent weeks, I have previewed a post before posting it. Next, I was looking at the log in screen and my post could not be recovered. The second time, I copied the post as I wrote it, but not all...so it was lost, too.

Please check to see if any settings for my account.

I hope this post transmits.
