Profile Help?

How do you add some details under the "avatar" that shows when you post something? I see some users list such things are City & State, Year & Type of Trailer, etc. I cannot figure our how to do this and when I tried to update my "profile" thinking that maybe that was the way to do so, I couldn't successfully update my "profile", because it wouldn't let me selectively add certain information. It requires birth date, full street address, (and probably my social security number if I didn't give up first ), etc. in a "all or nothing" scenario. I am unwilling to post some of this "private" information, so I guess I am limited to "nothing" at the moment.

I guess my other option would be to investigate the "signature" option and add the details I want to display in "it". If I try to create a signature, does that appear automatically every time I post something?

A lot of have left that blank and just putting the info we would like to provide in our Signature. The signature feature is automatic on every post.

I've tried a number of times and on different days to update my profile information but the site won't accept the information. I get a message saying that there's a problem and to try back later. I've tried back later-same thing.does anyone know what the problem is??

I don't know what the problem is, but I get a similar error. Must be system wide...
