Problems with search
I am a little confused about using search. For instance, I searched for "Asheville" and got multiple hits. However when I clicked on the links I saw nothing about Asheville. One response had 100+ pages of responses. Is Search telling me that somewhere in those 100+ pages is a comment about Asheville?

Which search? The forums search? Google search for the forums? Web search?

I searched, got 99 hits of which I checked five or six and they all legitimately had Asheville in them. After you pull up on thread you can then search within the thread for Asheville. You'll also get better results sometimes using google search that drops down with the toggle when you select the search button.
If you are having problems it would be really helpful to know what browser and device you are using.

Forums Search With Android Not Working
My laptop hardrive failed and so I am using my droid to read and post to Airforums with. I tried to search posts/threads for awning parts but as soon as I type into the search bar field, the thing disappears and I can't see what I'm typing and can't take the next step to hit <enter> or whatever.
Since I didn't want to scour hundreds of posts, I created a new post which I should receive email alerts to when replies are posted.

I have been doing research all weekend on axles and brakes, and I was often getting 100+ search hits for each search that I ran. But I just tried again, and it is now working fine.
Computer = desktop Windows clone, running Fire Fox browser.

overlander63 and reinegirl, Thank you. I tried the Google search on the Forums search tab and it works so much better than just searching the Forums.

You can use google search from any browser. The new phone app for the forum is a clunge - I deleted it since I couldn't go back to the prior version.
In your browser on the google search page, merely enter "site:airforums.com" first before whatever search term(s) you want. It will return the links down to the page within a thread for the forum exclusively.

I have tried to word search through thread for a topic but it returns to original search. I want to search he threads for topics I know have already been discussed but can't seem to master the skill. I should probably give u more info but don't know how to describe any further.
My screen is forum
Example: interior
Subtropical flooring
On tool bar hit button search threads
Type word: wooden floors
It doesn't take me anywhere but stays on same screen
Can u help please?
