This issue is not caused by any censorship function. There is not a feature for that. It has to do with Apache (the web server) and writing to the hard drives. I need to purchase some drives but won't be able to till my mid-month paycheck. Then I will have to get a local consultant to image the server and place the faster drives in place.

Also, the thread in question was pulled because I did not think it was very constructive. Airstream, Inc did not ask me to do that.

So, for the meantime, are we "okay" piggybacking as some of us have been doing, putting our questions or issues onto the ends of current threads? It sometimes makes for some strange turns in a thread, but it does get an item out to the forum. Wish there was someway to indicate that a thread may contain new but unrelated postings. I guess we are all in the same boat on this one, so we'll all understand.

Yes it is OK to hijack a thread. If it goes off in a different direction we often split it into a thread of it's own. Sometimes a question gets asked, and answered and the thread moves along undisturbed and we do not split it.

I just tried posting a new thread. When I did, it came back page unable to display, so...I clicked back, then hit "post thread" again, and it came back and said I had already posted that in the past 5 minutes. However, it has NOT posted at all.
I don't get it ......did someone let the factory smoke out of it?

David, this is what happened with us too. As you can see above, time should cure the problem when Andy gets the needed work done later this month. As his posting shows, he is aware of it Meanwhile, I suggest you piggy back on another thread to get out your message rather than risk losing the posting as you and we have been doing!

Starting Threads

I've been doing okay piggybacking on other threads but I haven't been able to start a thread for several months now. Has anyone figured out why some people can start threads and others can't? Do I need to change a setting, click my heels when I hit the send button, do the hokey pokey? I feel like I'm missing some simple reason for this.

Check post#22 above. We all are having difficulity with this.

My trick is to write the post, copy it to the clipboard, shut down Internet Explorer, start up Internet Explorer and post by pasting from the clipboard to the message box and then submitting. Why this works for me, I don't know. It's a pain but you do what you have to.

Now, back to your regular programming....
Bottom line we have a new thread regarding decals
http://www.airforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=16910
and we now have a licensing agreement that will allow for decals, so pretty much everything in that 300 post thread that delt with the unhappiness with the lack of a decal becomes a moot point.

I can't start new threads, either. Same symptoms as earlier posted.
Fortunately, the text was still there when I hit the back button...so I added it on to another thread.

So it is the hokey pokey!

I knew that there were some difficulties that Andy was working on, but I wondered if they had been fixed and I somehow missed the instructions.

Thanks for the update.

My great fear is that the hokey pokey really is, after all, what it's all about.

Let's start a vote: hokey pokey is what life is all about, or the chicken dance, or maybe just "The dance"

norton internet security glitch

I had the same problem, double posting didn't solve it, but disabling Norton Internet Security for 5 minutes did the trick.
