Not receiving notice emails for subscribed threads, PMs
For about 5 days now, I haven't received my usual notifications of new posts to subscribed threads, PMs, nor the daily notifications of new threads or updated threads for the forums that I have requested a daily update on. If I visit the forum and view subscriptions, there's new posts, but no notification via email. My wife, username: Gardenstream is having the same issue. Is this something on our end or more widespread? Can a moderator look into this and let me know?

Hi Jason,
We'll look into this.

hi Jason,
tried PMing you and it bounced, saying that
"WineStream has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."
I wouldn't think that that would trigger a notification failure but, who knows?
my notification is working, so, it's not universally broken.
otherwise, suggest that you check any Spam filters & settings from your ISP or email app.
best,

Weird. I received a pm just yesterday. I'm a contributing member, so I think I have buku space for PMs. I will have to get on the real computer (instead of my phone) and see if it says I'm over my PM limit.

There are several things to check:
The issue is likely that you accidentally flagged one e-mail as spam and then the rest went to your spam folder. This is especially an issue with gmail which has a very sensitive (and smart) spam filter. Look there - and if you find them, mark one or two as 'not spam'.
The next is that your upgraded membership expired on the 10th of this month but that shouldn't impact notifications. It's likely that your subscription expiration notice is in the same place as all the other e-mails

This issue is mostly solved, I think. Mostly, it is my fault. I should have looked first at what Google was filtering automatically as spam. Even though my notifications were coming through for the last 2-3 YEARS with no issue, for some reason Googlemail decided that all of a sudden anything from Airforums was spam. I have gone into googlemail directly and told it that all the conversations from airforums.com are NOT spam. Hopefully this solves that issue.
The second issue is with the PM being bounced. I found an email form airforums in my spam box reminding me that I need to renew my airforums subscription. OK, good to have the reminder. Problem is that the email came on Oct 8, it's now the 11th and my account has already been demoted to non-paying. Shouldn't there be like a month of warning there, not 2-3 days??? Kinda sucks missing out on PMs just because I didn't immediately renew my airforums membership within 1 day of being notified. Can the notification be changed to 1 month? I seem to recall this happening to me last year, too.

Glad you got it figured out - I'll pass along the suggestion on the subscription notice.

I normally receive my email on my phone...so no spam. I just checked my spam folder on my laptop. You are a GENIUS! Thanks!

Notifications are coming through just fine now. I just can't figure out why after getting airforums emails for 3 years now that all of a sudden it starts filtering them as spam for both my wife and I.

It's not just you. I am on the forums so often that I set up my subscriptions as no notification with the exception of a few that I started myself or am looking for answers on. As such, I usually only get three or four auto-emails a week. I noticed just a couple days ago that my renovation thread had gotten a new comment (read it on my phone) and I had never seen an email.
Just read this thread, checked the spam filter, and what do ya know? Airforums is all spam. That's not a coincidence. We didn't both just accidentally hit "Mark as Spam" at the same time. Gmail is doing something funky....

Thank you for the answer. I'm new to the forum and wasn't getting email notifications. Wasn't sure if I should be. Looked in my SPAM and BAM, there they were. Glad someone asked the question.

does this have anything with the advertising at the bottom of the screen?
There is an ad asking if I want the e-mails (air forum) delivered directly to my e-mail account

Could be worse. If you have a BlackBerry, you might still be waiting for emails...

I haven't been getting all my notices either. All of my mail (including spam) goes to my inbox so I see everything that comes through. And sometimes I'll get them but it will be a day or two later. Anything else I can try?
