No album option!

How do I use albums?

This is the advice I found in FAQ's:

As a member, you can create Albums of images that are linked to your public profile. Albums can be created by visiting the User Control Panel, and clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'.

I don't have any "pictures and albums link" on my User CP!

Can anyone help?

Hi Dan. Easiest way I'm finding to set up albums is to have one picture of your own in there somewhere already. When you go to the Gallery and click 'My Stuff' on the light blue taskbar, is there a 'My Images' menu item? That will only be there if you have one pic somewhere in the photo gallery already.

Click 'My Images.' Then, just below the light blue gallery taskbar, do you see a 'Sub-Categories' box followed by a 'Images in Category' box below it?

I can set albums at the top right of my 'Sub-Categories' box -- in the upper right corner of the sub-category frame there is a selection for setting 'Add Category.' These would be the topic albums you probably are referring to. [ON EDIT: I hope these instructions are applicable to registered members. Somebody please correct me if my moderator view isn't on the regular member screens. ]

View overlander64's gallery to see someone who has done this a lot - - Photo Gallery

BTW -- it's just my opinion. But I prefer to set my non-categorized general images into 'Member's Photos' instead of 'Airstream Trailer Photos.' All of mine seem to be easier to find if I'm going directly into the gallery.

Though all of an individual's pics are easy enough to find anyway. Click on their avatar in any post and the avatar drop-down menu will let you visit their gallery regardless of which category they are in.

I always like klattu's images ... - Photo Gallery

Dan - as you noted the native vB Albums are not enabled. Instead we have a more robust image gallery (see tab at top of page) and you can set up an album there as canoestream has recommended. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks

Think I have it now, I now have a "category admin" option in my stuff after adding a single photo.

I have been able to set up 2 categories and will start uploading in a bit.

Thanks
