Newbie looking for advice

Hello everyone, We have just purchased our very first airstream a 2017 Sport16 and are newbies to airstream and the travel trailer world. Of course, now we need a vehicle to go pick up and tow said beauty. Any recommendations? Thus far, I have test drove an Audi q5, next on list is Volvo XC60 - Ford Edge and Toyota Venza are also coming up as recommended vehicles of that size with tow capacity
Also, what would one recommend bringing as bare minimum for drive home (i.e. dishes, towels, bedding, anything else?), the trailer is ten hours away so we will probably try it out for a night or two to make sure all works well before heading back home. Lastly, we are interested in obtaining solar panel. In Canada, we can get 200w flexible panel but most people seem to sell or use smaller panels and in US also seems to be less. Any brands, wattage recommended from those who use solar panels.

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. Congratulations on your new baby. As to a tow vehicle, you have a lot of choices with a 16 Sport. As for solar, I am not very knowledgeable in that area, but I'm sure that someone else will chime in.

Did you happen to purchase your Airstream from Can-An Rv in London, ON, probably the best Airstream hitch and towing experts in North America? If not, contact them anyway, they will help you.
