New to Forum questions

I am new to this and haven't figured it out yet.
1. What is the Courtesy Parking section, is it for storage or for someone to overnight at our place?

2. What is the "Members Map", it does not seam to work?

3. Is "Portal" the same as home?

I'll give this a try...

1. Courtesy Parking - I believe this is intended for overnight parking... some offering power and/or water hookups. I presume that if you just wanted to drop your trailer off for a night or two, you could work that out with the member.

Laura - I've been here awhile and still haven't figured it all out! My most difficult issue is trying to find all the great posts that I've browsed through over the year. Sometimes I see something really cool or informative but don't necessarily need it. Until months later ... when I can't remember enough about it to find it!

The members map was lost a couple of upgrades ago. I think it had something to do with preservation of national resources or homeland scrutiny or something.

If you can remember some of the contents of the article the best way to find it is to Google it. Much faster.

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

As to your questions:

1. Courtesy Parking is a place to spend one night along the road at another members property. Sometimes there are some hook-ups, sometimes not.

2. The Members Map function has not worked in some time. I am not sure of the reason for this.

3. Portal and Home are the same.

You can sort the member list for courtesy parking.

Click on member list on the upper nav bar.
Then find the search function in the upper right corner, select advanced search.

Then you can configure your search by state, or city and check the box for courtesy parking.
