The cold one sounds excellent! The multi quote thing only works within one thread. You can choose several POSTS to quote in their original thread.

Yeah, but the real question is, do you have your aluminm hat yet?

Somehow, I think the spell checker may needs some tweeking.

To my best understanding, the aluminum hat is some sort of stage. To move beyond, we must all have our aluminum hats.

I think that aluminauts wear aluminum hats in order to become aluminated

Alumi-Not, -naut, or -naught, I am not sure we need to see each others Karma rating. Keeping it private is just fine. Making it visible is just a way to make those that have low Karma ratings feel inferior and perhaps unecessarily inflates the ego's of those with higher Karma ratings. The number of posts does a good enough job showing who participates how much on the forums, because post count seems to have a significant correlation to Karma rating. It appears like you need to 1000+ posts to get the top Karma rating.

Just one user's opinion.

P.S. And wouldn't an Argonaut be someone on a quest to obtain an Argosy or perhaps someone on a quest in an Argosy?

Membership Numbers

Are the Membership Numbers gone forever, or will they be redistributed?

Yes, and his name would be Jason.

It also says you can Limit the usage of visitor messages to just the mods and your contacts. If I did this, would "nonfriends" (I need a better term here) still be able to view what's going on? Is it possible with this system to have a bunch of mini, private forums or Social Groups like the Capetown to Cairo forum?

Dennis, I noticed that too. A workaround is to go to an individual's profile page and look up at the URL -- their membership number is within the URL.

Couldn't help but notice that the "warning" meter is now gone. A really good thing in my humble opinion. Keeps things on a positive note.

This is a great place with many great members and staff. Keep on the sunny side, eh?

Thanx for the upgrades. Still not sure I understand the new rating/karma system…it seems to be changing by the day? Yesterday I had a bunch of green “squares” on my bar, today it’s only one square? Did I make somebody mad?
Still would like to see a “Date Started” on the header of all threads along with the current Thread/Thread Starter. This really helps save time in not looking at threads that were started long ago…many other forums have this, can’t we? I feel so deprived? Or is that depraved?

Hey! I've lost my Karma rating, too. What did I do to make everybody mad at me?

No one is mad... Everyone's karma scores are lower. But they are proportionally lower so.... if you had a fairly high score before the change, you still have a high score. The scale is just different now.

A new member has 0 karma and a really high karma number would be around 100.

...in proportion to the increase in gas prices??

I'm sure mad!

Gasoline - up
Karma - down

... not a good spring for Airstreamers
