When I view posts on the Forum, I rarely use the individual forums. I generally, use the "Home Page" listing of recent posts, or I perform a search on a specific topic.
OR I "log out" and use the "Today's Posts" view as an unregistered user, which is the best way to view posts. It lists the ID's of the original poster and the latest to reply. It gives the time of the latest reply and the number of replies and the number of views. These are all nice features that aren't available in the "New Posts" or "Home Page" vies when "logged in". But most importantly, I like the fact that the "Today's Posts" view lists all new posts for the last 24 hours, and they don't "go away" if I "log out" and log back in!!!!!! Actually, I'd like the ability to customize this veiw to get the last two or more days posts to catch up when I've been out of town.
I've tried changing "preferences" using the Control Panel stettings, but haven't been able to get things to view the way I'd like them to.
Can the Forum "powers that be" offer any suggestions? Would this type of enhancement to the Forum be considered as an upgrade? I hate the fact that I have to "log out" to get the best view. I don't want to put down the efforts of those that maintain the Forum (which are great), but I thought a "constructive" continuous improvement type of suggestion might be warranted now that I've used the Forum for awhile. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
I owned my little Caravel nearly a year before I discovered that there is a concealed clothes hamper in the wall behind the toilet. Now I wonder if I've missed anything else.

That is good because it is prohibited. You agreed (when you joined) to always respect and agree with any thing they say or do.

Joe
Constructive criticism IS allowed, RANTS against the moderators or because someone thinks that their idea was not heard ,accepted and implemented in the blink of an eye are not.
I do believe that Rog offered a response to the query and the original poster responded that the feature that is already available was not one he was aware of.
So the question I have is:
Why should the original poster PM an administrator/moderator when his question was answered?

Brett, at what point do the administrators and moderators decide to enforce Forum policy?
Jaco's continuing efforts to discredit this Forum and it's structure are very annoying.
An obvious attempt to embarrass another member is WAY out of bounds IMHO.

Joe have you ever hosted Saturday Night Live?
Seriously why don't you PM the administrator.
Jaco,
I didn't PM the administrator because I though others might either agree with my original observation, or (as Rog did) point out what I was missing. I am fine with the answer Rog provided.
HOWEVER , . . .
I am totally lost on your question if I have ever hosted SNL. (I'm guessing it was an attempt at humor.) Please explain. Thanks,
