How the heck do you post here.
This is the first page I've seen with a post new thread link.
Should be one on every page or a post reply link.
IMHO as a web site kinda guy.
Alot of trouble for me to go up to now.
Only other I saw was handed to me to introduce myself,go figure.
Does any one have a SIMPLE solution for posting in any forum or as a reply?
Thank you.

Left click on "forums" at top left of the screen, then left click on the forum of your choice on the new page. Then scroll to the bottom of that screen, and click on "new thread" at the bottom left corner of the page. The reply tab is under the last post on each thread, at bottom left.
Nick.

Let me throw this out: Perhaps you aren't logged in part of the time? I click the "remember me" box when I log in and the next time I turn on and go to the forum it remembers me. When I flush my cookies (har), I have to always log back in with my password. The forum doesn't look much different when not logged in, unlike others where you can personalize the interface, if you're not logged in it doesn't look right.
Or Andy R could be tinkering with the software and somehow that button got turned off for a bit...who knows. Stick around long enough and you'll see other weird stuff, I'm sure.

Thanks all, I'll go try it.
This site looks like it's V-bulliten powered (spelling on that?) If so I use it but this has had me stumped.
thanks

Well I'm lost...
Went to the forum wanted it's closed...over a year ago... used link to where directed, found this area but NO new thread do I see? at top or bottom.
btw, I want to get to a classifieds forum to post an item. Only one I noticed was a parts archive link I did not try. Figure it's old.
I'll keep looking. But really do not like set up here.

For what purpose does this group use the warning area? Post in wrong area, non related to area?
I frequent about 10 boards and some have this feature some not, but most are different as to use anyway.

As you've figured out - the old classifieds thread was closed when we installed the newer classifieds section. we left if the htread visiable becasue folks asked.... sorry for the confusion.
There is a detailed explaination of the warning meter here http://www.airforums.com/forum...etc-20497.html it is rarely used and no one else can see your meter.

I read that "warn" and is as most other boards have, a good idea with ability to be flexible.
I went to another "want ad" link and tried it, no post there, and no "New Thread" link either.

Make Starting New Posts Easier!
I am no novice to web navigation and I am a member of several auto, motorcycle and boating forums; however, I must say this is probably the most obtuse and cryptic forum as far as startig a new post that I have ever seen! Clearly there is a problem when one has to search a site to figure out how to post!
Here's a suggestion to the webmaster(s) of this site. What about putting "Post" or "New Post" somewhere in the upper or lower menu... in a prominent place on every page of every forum? A route to post is not even found in the "Quick Link" pull down menu. Further, "New Thread" or whatever it's called is just plain illogical since it's really not a thread unless others have responded to it.
By convention, posting a message is the primary mode of forum communication and the word "Post" is what the majority of new forum users will key in on.
This is a great forum with ton of information, but why not make posting to it easy and abundantly obvious????
Make it clear and simple! This is not rocket science.
Oh yea, I'm still looking for the "New Thread" at the bottom of the page so I can post my question!

The new thread button is located at the top of each thread kist in any subforum.
Click on the forums tab, select the subforum you are interested in posting to and open that subforum. You should see this:

Thanks
Thanks Janet. I see now... but here's the problem. If you utilize the quick links at the left of the page, say Repair Forum, you do not see "New Thread" at the top of the list.
Only if you go to the Forums link first and then select the subforum as you described is one able to start a new post. This really seems poorly designed to me and it would be very easy to fix things so that you didn't have to navigate the site by a particular route to be able to post a new message.
