How new posts are shown

I have posted an issue dealing with my tail lights under the electrical forum, but those post don't seem to show up under the "New Post heading. I am wondering is the only way people see my issue is to go into the electrical forum. If so, I feel I am missing out on valuable advice.

One big question I have is if anyone knows the wiring layout in the rear section of the trailer. The thread I started yesterday is listed under electrical / Parking lights shorting out.

Thanks,
Andy

Andy,
"New Posts" will only show you threads that have updates that you have not seen. If you make an update to a thread, it will show up in everyones "New Post" list, but not yours. Once someone looks at the thread, it will not be listed in their "New Post" list until it has another new post. I mostly view the forums with the "New Post" option and have seen every update to your light problem.

Just to add on to what Richard said...

He's right if you just posted something and nobody has replied, it is not a "New Post" to you...it will be to everybody else though. Once someone adds something to your thread, it will show up in your "New Posts" section. If you want to double-check that your thread is still there, you can go to "Todays Posts" which will call it up even if nobody has added info...assuming it has been less than 24 hours since you originally posted it. This will call up all the posts from the last 24 hours, whether or not you have already viewed them or new information has been posted to them. This comes in real handy if you read something and can't remember exactly where and want to go back & re-read it.
