A quick search didn't yield a quick answer on this.
How do you earn rivets on this forum? Are they earned? Bought? What?
Perhaps my inability to answer this without posting demonstrates that I am not rivet-worthy but I have rivet envy when I see all of these one (and more) rivet members.
Please advise.
Thanks.
Regards,

More rivets as your post count increases. You gain your first rivet when you have made 5 posts, then gain additional rivets incrimentally until you hit 500 posts. Then you will be a "Rivetmaster".
IIRC, you aren't showing your rivet count because you have the "Fulltime Airstreamer" phrase under your name.

I received one rivet when I got to 10 posts and 2 rivets when I got to 20 posts. Now, I see you have 56 posts but are not well-riveted. It could have something to do with the timing such as density of the posts with regard to time. I've been very busy lately so I've gotten up to 2 rivets. It was just a pleasant surprise. I've never actually seen an explanation.
I totally understand your rivet envy. I was quite excited (though for no real reason, I guess) when I saw I had ascended to a 2-rivet member. Perhips your posts ain't gramaticaly corect? Maybe not enough acronyms like TT, PO, and SOB. Maybe not enough freakouts about something that just broke and is spewing water all over your gaucho. Maybe not enough off-topic rants in an unrelated thread. Who knows.
I just know I've got my two rivets!! Neener neener neener!!

Drat, now our little Argy is starting to grow on me. I guess you were...were...were...right, honey.
Forums Rivets should be awarded automatically by the computer based on the number of posts you have submitted. By putting in the Fulltime Airstreamer title under you screen name, you have disabled the Rivet function. Remove the title under your name and your earned Rivets should appear.

Hmmmmm . . . . thanks Moosetags. Now I am faced with the tough decision: Is it better to brag about being a full-timer (though those days are numbered) or have some rivets?
I guess as long as I am living in aluminum I'll hide the rivets. At least now I know the deal! Hopefully you're right and there isn't some evil force hiding my rivets.
; )

Here's an explanation, I was off on the post counts.
You can brag about fulltiming in your signature line. Edit your signature in the User CP at the top left of the page.

Hi Jim:
Do both by moving your "Fulltime Airstreamer" description to your signature block that appears at the bottom of each posting, and your hard earned rivets will magically appear.
