There are a couple of ways to search the forum. If you have a question we recommend that you search before posting. There's a fair chance that we have a several posts about your topic of interest.
The Forums search tool found on the upper blue nav bar is fairly easy to use and really quick. Our search tool searches for key words and you have a choice to search for threads or posts. Consider using the advanced search function to narrow down your choices. You must be logged into the forums to use the search tool.
Google search: We have an embedded google search available. Check out the drop down menu under search to find this tool.

You can embed a YouTube video (provided it's on topic) in a post. Just copy the url of the video from your browser address line and paste it into your post. The video will display when you make the post.
Based on your feedback from we have developed a new more comprehensive ignore system. This new system allows you to ignore forums, threads, and threads started by people on your ignore list. It currently ignores these items when you are browsing the forums (you don't see threads or forums you have ignored), in search results, on New Post link or Today's Posts. It also skips them if you are using the next/previous thread links at the end of the threads. It will also keep these threads from showing up on the portal too.
To select a forum to hide you need to select the Forum Tools drop down and then select hide forum (see attachment). To select a thread to hide, use the Thread tools drop down and select hide thread (see attachment), to ignore threads started by people on your ignore list, go to the bottom left of the User CP where you will see a settings link and check off the box to ignore their threads.
Once you have ignored these forums and discussions you will not be able to see them in case you want to unignore them. So if you do want to unignore them there are tool in the bottom left of the UserCP to manage the items you have selected to ignore.
So now if you don't like the a certain forum, just hide it. Same goes with threads, if one is bugging you, just hide it. You can even hide threads based on tags. So if you want to ignore threads on a specific topic by ignoring tags. If you chose not to hear anymore about an ignore system feel free to hide this thread too !

When starting a new thread, the thread author may assign tags that help your thread to be found more easily by people searching for particular subjects. For example, a thread may display that it has been tagged with pump and wiring. Each tag is a web link leading to all threads associated with that tag.
Setting up tags:
You can set up to five tags per thread that you start. One or two tags probably will be most common. As you are writing your thread's initial post, please note the tag box just below the text input window. Instructions read, "Separate tags using a comma" and "You may add 5 tag(s) to this thread." There are no hard and fast rules -- do your best giving a one- or two-word summary of your topic. Multiple tags are useful if you are posting about a combination of factors; for example new, skylight leak and warranty. Or clearcoat and filiform.
You can see which threads have tags assigned. After the last post in a thread and just below the 'Post Reply' link, there is a box that displays tags associated with that thread. These tags are live links to search for other like-tagged threads.
Using tags:
To find tagged threads, use our 'Search' link on the overhead blue tool bar. In the drop-down box, the second selection is 'Tag Search' -- click to open. Enter a search term and click 'Search.' For example, leak or leak detection generate entirely separate groupings of threads.
The tag search window is also interesting for showing a "tag cloud," where the print size indicates how often certain tags have been assigned to threads. The tags in the tag cloud are live links to tagged threads.
Increasing the depth of this resource:
This feature will increase in utility as more people use it. If your research has found very useful threads on a topic and they don't have tags, you could private message a moderator and ask them to add a tag or tags. Please feel free to suggest tags you think are most relevant. And please include the web address line (URL) of the thread.
The increasing emergence of threats to computer data security makes it important to have a strong password. Currently, it is thought that a strong password has 10-12 characters using a mixture of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. If your password is weak, used on another website, or becomes compromised, you should consider changing it.
How to change your password:
1. Sign on to AirForums with your current password, check “Remember Me?” and click, “Log in.”
2. On the next webpage, click on “User CP” (User Control Panel) on the left side of the dark blue toolbar in the upper third of the page.
3. Scroll down “YOUR CONTROL PANEL” column to “Settings & Options”
4. Click on “Edit Email and Password”
5. Enter your current password, new password, confirmation-of new-password, and click on “Save Changes.”
