Firefox link issue

When I click on a link (after searching) I get taken back to the Airforums home page ??? instead of being brought to the thread I'm seeking. ???

Firefox (latest) on Mac OS 10.4.1

Hi fotochop. I'm not savvy with Firefox on a Mac but I'd suggest starting by emptying the cache. Then try again and see if it uploads properly. By all means let us know if that changes things either way. Thanks

Do you show that you are logged in when you do the search?

If you are logged in I have had problems with Fire Fox, on a PC, returning me to a sign in page in an endless loop, similar issue. This was a cookie problem with a cookie that I had chosen to Block not thinking it was site related. It is hard to find the individual cookie if it does not have the site name in it and many of the administrative cookies don't. If all else fails delete all cookies using Fire Fox "tools and options", I am assuming Fire Fox will be laidout the same for Mac, and start over noting who asks to set a cookie as you work your way throught the forum for the first time after resetting.

We use Firefox on a Mac and have not had the problem you describe. That does not mean it cannot happen

The cookies you have are under Firefox>Preferences>Privacy. Another way to clean out troublesome stuff is to go to Tools>Clear Private Data where you can select what you wish to delete. The default setting there leaves cookies untouched. You may want to try the default because it will clear out the cache. Then if you still have the problem, you can clear the cookies by repeating the process. When all else fails, reboot the computer and try again.

Hey fotochop,
You helped me get up and going with my entries on my water heater.
When I look at all the names like yours "fotochop" how do I make ours "Airbean" instead of my name which appears above it? Also, is it possible to add a video as an attachment?
Thanks,

Oops - we already have a member named Airbean. If you want a new user name a forum admin need to change it for you. Once you figure out what you want - use the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page to request the change.

Thank you Janet,
How did you become a moderator? You save lost folks like us out here in cyberland?
I sent in (as you suggested) a message to "contact us".
This is what I wrote:

Hello there,
My name is Paris,
We are new to airforums and have signed up for help and enjoyment with Airstreamers accross the country.
When I registered our new 1963 Airstream Globe Trotter my name was used PARIS.
Janet: a moderator for Airforums said she would change the name for us to "Airbean" which is what we want to name our Airstream trailer.
She emailed back and said opps! The name was already taken.
My question is; how do I get a list of names already being used by Airforums.
Bet the answer will be "give it your best shot and we'll tell you if you have a unused name or not"
Paris is my name no problem there,
I guess we can call it anyname we want and besides it is listed beneath my name now so what's the problem?
None.
If you can be of some help please send back,
Thanks for your time,
I am enjoying Airforums very much and it has brought me tons of good information as well as enjoyment and learning more about our Airstream Globe Trotter.
Paris
