File too big

I just tried uploading a photo - it said the file was too big - how do I make it smaller? There is no suggestion on what to do. It just says try again (which I did and that was unsuccessful, too!). Please help!

Thank you!!

You need to reduce the photo size. Open the photo in question with a photo editting program like Photo Shop, Paint Shop or whatever came with you digital camera or scanner. Reduce the size by 50% or so then try uploading it again...

Here's a link to a previous thread that talks about the maximum sizes in more depth...

Good Luck!

Shari

Thanks, Shari, for your suggestions. I clicked on the link, and placed all my photos in Microsoft PictureIt! Express, clicked on the edit to try to change the pixels - but there was no option to do so. I cannot change the pixels and am at a loss as to what to do next. I cannot upload to airstreamphotos.com.

Thanks, again, Shari. You are always so helpful to all.

Try reducing the size

I don't use that software, but there should be an edit option for reducing the size of the photo.

Typically, you can define the new size either in inches or pixels. Choose pixels and make the largest dimension 640 or less and it should upload just fine.

If you are going to a lot of photo processing, I recommend PhotoShop Elements as a reasonably priced program that does just about everything and does it well.
