The past two days I have had to sign in every time I check the Forums. Whats up? Beginning to become a pain.

Is there a place to figure out what it is?

You are posting... somebody's pulling my leg? Seriously -- please contact tech support by clicking 'contact us' at the bottom of any page if anyone is having log-on or password problems.

Melody? What are you seeing if you don't log in?? One question might be whether your browser has stored a page that isn't up to date. The solution for this is go to your browser & clear your cache (delete temporary internet files). You should be able to find this under the Tools menu on either Internet Explorer or Firefox. Macs also have a cache -- there must be some option to empty it and force your browser to download a fresh page next time.

Shutting down your computer or long inactive periods should log you off. The site has less advertising when logged on. Not sure why a person wouldn't log on...

Been happening here also...

Cleaned the cache as part of weekly maint., problem went away.

Not a geek, so I didn't connect cause and effect.

Have you updated or changed web browsers? I have to sign in and tell the forum to remember me again every time I do that.

Have you had any updates (even automatic) to your security program, web browser or other program? It's likely that your cookies are being cleared after each session at AIR and so you are having to log in again. This is a good practice BTW....

That's the first thing I thought of. You are clearing the cookies after every session. Did you add any new security plug-ins for FireFox? It also never hurts to clear cache.

Same thing all day. I enter on a guest status page with a sign in box in upper right. If I select a forum , classified , etc. I am moved to a page asking me to join. Cache is cleared.

Which browser are you using? I updated one of my 'puters to IE8 and started having issues. I have since put IE7 back on and the problem went away. I seldom use IE, much prefer FF, Chrome, or Opera.

I think its the link to the Forums that slipped into an old one.
What is the correct and current address here? Ya think I'd know.

WWW.Airforums.com Try typing it in the browser, go to the site, log in, then save that address as a shortcut. Sounds like possibly your shortcut is somehow taking you to the wrong page?? Just something else to try.
