E-bay watch

I have noticed on the E-bay watch sub forum that when I click a post and then click on go to auction that it only takes me to a generic E-bay page, not the actual listing.

I have tried it when I am signed in to ebay in another browser window (Firefox 3.6) as well and I still go to a generic electronics ebay page.

Me too with firefox And 10.6.2 but it was the only work around that showed the auction

I click on the link and while it takes me to a generic page, I just find the item number in the address and copy it, paste it into the eBay search box and it opens up the auction without having to sign in and watch it.

same thing happens for me, Janet.

On a similar (and perhaps related) issue:
Recently, there was a "choice" that popped up when I clicked on an airform.com link to an ebaY auction, inviting me to log into my ebaY so that when I clicked on the airforums link for an item, I could more easily use the "watch" (or other) functions.

Like a fool, I accepted to do this, only realizing afterwards that it could have been a way to learn my ebaY pw.

Has airforums.com been recently hacked?

me too. I have wanted to see the links for quite a while but it hasn't worked for me either.

same here, it just takes you to the ebay search page and you have to type in the item you're looking for. Not a direct link any more.
